Material & Methods of Wall Section
The housing project locates in San Francisco. To consider San Francisco environmental factor, the goal of the project is to create more natural with outdoor dining space and more opening space in interior. Based on these ideas, this building is design by using the steel system. This system can option of running a steel beam across the ceiling, opening the space up and negating the need for a structural beam below the ceiling line that can create more space. Furthermore, steel structures' is a durability and affordability, and it almost unrivaled ability to withstand fire and seismic activities.
Structural System
Product:
The structure is using Steel Frame System, composed of 6”x12” Wide Flange Steel Beams and 6”x6” Wide-Flange-Steel Columns. All structural and framing system works will be an offer by Saginaw Pipe Co., Inc.
Installation:
In this project, the 6”x6” Wide flange columns weld on a metal plates. All Wide Flange Steel Beams and Columns are mainly connecting by welding. All steel beams, columns, and girders will be build up on-site.
Framing System(floor)
Floor framing system uses concrete slab with a steel decking supports concrete.
Deck profiles are available in a variety of finishes and can be used in a wide range of applications requiring roofing and flooring and ceiling and cladding solutions.
Foundation
This project foundation uses reinforced concrete footing which is suitable for the geographical condition of the site. The type of the foundation is monolithic slab. This foundation provides outstanding performance as a seamless flooring solution. Poured walls have a compressive and flexural strength several times that of block and far beyond the required safety factor.
